A range of weapons has been seized by gardaí following a three-day search in Dublin.

Gardaí investigating the activities of a number of West Dublin street-level drug dealing gangs carried out the search in Blanchardstown on February 13, 14 and 15.

Five sawn-off shotguns, ammunition, a crossbow, and controlled drugs, believed to be cannabis herb, have been seized.

The firearms will be examined by the Garda Technical Bureau.

It followed a search operation conducted on February 6 relating to recent criminal activity in the Corduff area.

"Adequate Garda resources are being utilised to deal with this investigation and are supported by Garda National Units including the Armed Support Unit," said Superintendent Liam Carolan at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

"We are very conscious of the needs of the people and the sentiments that are being expressed by people living in the Corduff area.

Significant progress has been made regarding this investigation.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
