A man in his 50s has suffered severe head injuries after an alleged attack in County Cork.

A man in his 50s has suffered severe head injuries after an alleged attack in County Cork.

The alleged assault happened at around 10pm on Main Street in Carrigaline on Friday night.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
